Terms of Service

Version 2.1 · Effective September 4, 2026

Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a contract between you and [Operator legal name], trading as Great Care ("Great Care", "we", "us"), governing your use of the Great Care application and website (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a contract. If you use the Service for an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind it, and "you" includes that organisation.

What Great Care is, and is not

Great Care is a tool that helps families and caregivers organise caregiving information: medications, appointments, contacts, tasks, documents, recordings, and notes, in one shared place.

Great Care is not a medical device and does not provide medical, clinical, pharmacological, or professional advice. It does not diagnose, treat, or make decisions about anyone’s care. Rely on qualified healthcare professionals and your own judgment for medical decisions. Never use Great Care in an emergency; call your local emergency number.

Features that generate content automatically (appointment transcripts and summaries, medication information, quick-add parsing) use AI and can be incomplete or wrong. Check anything that matters against the original source or a professional before relying on it.

Your account and your family group

You are responsible for activity in your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure. Tell us promptly at support@greatcare.app if you believe your account has been used without permission.

When you invite people into a family group you are choosing to share that group’s care information with them. You are responsible for who you invite and what role you give them. If your group uses a shared PIN, everyone who knows it can sign in as a member, so share it carefully and change it if it leaks.

You must have the authority to enter and share information about the people you care for. If someone else can legally act for that person, make sure your use is consistent with their wishes and any legal authority in place.

If the admin of a group leaves or deletes their account, the group and its content remain available to the other members until the last member leaves or asks us to delete it.

Your content

You keep ownership of the information you put into Great Care ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited licence to store, process, display, and back up Your Content only as needed to provide the Service to you and the members of your group, including sending it to the providers listed on our Trust page for transcription, AI summaries, email, and hosting.

You are responsible for the accuracy of Your Content and for having the right to enter it. Do not upload content you are not permitted to share.

Care Links you create are viewable by anyone who has the link until it expires or you turn it off. You are responsible for who you give a link to and for turning it off when it is no longer needed.

Recording appointments

Before each recording, the app asks you to confirm that everyone in the conversation knows it is being recorded and has agreed. You are responsible for the truth of that confirmation and for complying with the recording and consent laws that apply where you are; some places require the consent of every participant.

Recordings and transcripts are processed by third-party providers on our behalf to produce your transcript and summary. Our Privacy Policy and Trust page name those providers.

Acceptable use

Do not use the Service to break the law, to access data that is not yours, to probe or interfere with the Service’s security, to overload or disrupt it, to send unsolicited messages through it, or to build a competing product from it.

Do not upload malicious code or content that infringes others’ rights or that is abusive or unlawful.

Plans, billing, and trials

Every new family group starts with a 14-day free trial of the Family plan. No card is required, and a trial never turns into a charge on its own: when it ends, the group is paused until an admin chooses a plan, and everything the family added stays safe and can be exported or deleted at any time.

Paid plans are per family group and billed to the group admin who chooses them: Pet Care ($4.99/month or $39.99/year, up to 3 pets), Essentials ($7.99/month or $59.99/year, 1 person and 2 pets in care, up to 3 members), Family ($14.99/month or $119.99/year, up to 4 people and unlimited pets, unlimited members) and Care Team ($29.99/month or $249.99/year, unlimited). Each plan includes a monthly allowance of recording transcription minutes and AI actions and a document storage limit, shown in Settings; when an allowance is used up the feature pauses until the 1st of the next month or a bigger plan is chosen, and nothing already saved is affected. Prices are in US dollars. Payments are processed by Paddle, our merchant of record, which adds any applicable sales tax or VAT at checkout and issues your invoices; we never see your full card number.

Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period at the then-current price until you cancel; you can cancel at any time from your account, effective at the end of the current billing period; we will give at least 30 days’ notice before a recurring price increases. If you are a consumer in the EU or UK you have a 14-day right to withdraw from a new paid subscription for a full refund, unless you asked us to start the paid service immediately and it has been fully performed. Otherwise fees already paid are non-refundable except where the law requires a refund.

Availability and changes

We work to keep the Service reliable, but we provide it "as is" and cannot promise it will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free. We may take it offline briefly for maintenance.

We may add, change, or remove features over time. If we plan to discontinue the Service we will give at least 60 days’ notice and a way to export Your Content.

Your own records

Keep your own copies of anything critical. We keep an audit log and rely on our provider’s backups, but you should not treat the Service as the only copy of information you cannot afford to lose.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, loss of data, or for decisions made in reliance on information in the Service, including AI-generated content.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for all claims arising from the Service in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in that period and USD 50.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything that cannot be excluded by law. If you are a consumer, you keep all rights that consumer-protection law gives you and nothing here reduces them.

Ending your use

You can stop using the Service at any time and delete your account from Settings → Danger zone (or ask us at privacy@greatcare.app). We may suspend or end access if you materially breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that risks harm to others or to the Service; where practical we will warn you first and give you a chance to export Your Content.

When your account ends, we remove Your Content as described in our Privacy Policy. Sections that by their nature should survive (your content licence for retained backups, disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law) survive termination.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of [Country / State], and the courts of [City, Country] have jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer you may also rely on the mandatory consumer laws and courts of the country where you live.

If you have a dispute with us, email support@greatcare.app first and we will try to resolve it informally within 30 days before either of us starts formal proceedings. Where the law allows, any claim must be brought within one year of when it arose.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. For material changes we will give at least 14 days’ notice in the app or by email before they take effect. If you do not agree, stop using the Service and ask us to delete your account before the new Terms apply. Continuing to use the Service after that date means you accept the updated Terms.
